Details Introduction

I.Scope of application

It is suitable for processing coarse-grained precious metals, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic minerals. The particle size range of the processed materials is 45%–98% for 0.074mm, and the slurry concentration is < 45%.

II.Working Principle

When the motor drives the main shaft to rotate the impeller, the slurry in the upper and lower impeller chambers generates centrifugal force under the action of the upper and lower blades and is thrown outward, forming negative pressure zones inside the upper and lower impeller chambers. Meanwhile, the slurry below the impeller is sucked in through the central hole of the impeller’s lower cone disc, mixed with air inside the impeller chamber, and then thrown outward through the passage between the cover plate and the impeller. After leaving the cover plate passage, the air and part of the ore pulp move upward to the upper part of the flotation tank to participate in the flotation process, forming an upper circulation. Another portion of the slurry flows toward the bottom of the flotation tank and is drawn back into the impeller chamber by suction from the impeller, creating a lower slurry circulation.The lower slurry circulation facilitates the suspension of coarse-grained minerals and effectively reduces sedimentation of coarse sand at the bottom of the flotation tank. Air is drawn into the upper impeller chamber through the air suction pipe and central cylinder, mixes with the incoming slurry to form a large number of fine bubbles. After flow stabilization by the cover plate, the bubbles disperse evenly throughout the tank and become mineralized bubbles. The mineralized bubbles rise to the froth layer and are scraped out by the scraper as froth concentrate.

III. Structure composition

The BF series flotation machine consists of an impeller, cover plate, main shaft, central cylinder, tank body, false bottom, driving mechanism, froth scraping mechanism and other components. It can also be equipped with an electric (manual) pulp control device to adjust the liquid level.

IV. Performance characteristics

The BF series flotation machine is an improved version of the SF series flotation machine. In addition to retaining the features of the SF model, it also offers advantages such as planar layout, self-aspiration of air and pulp, automatic return of middling froth, stable pulp liquid level, high separation efficiency, and convenient operation, maintenance and management.
