I.Scope of application
It is applicable for the separation of minerals such as copper, lead, zinc, nickel, molybdenum, sulfur, iron, gold, bauxite, apatite and sylvite.It can be used independently with stepwise configuration between each operation; it can also be combined with XCF series flotation cells to form a united unit — XCF serves as the feeding suction cell and KYF as the direct-flow cell, realizing horizontal layout.
II.Working Principle
When the motor drives the main shaft to rotate the impeller, the slurry in the tank is sucked into the space between the impeller blades from the periphery through the tank bottom at the lower end of the impeller. Meanwhile, the low-pressure air supplied by the blower enters the air distributor in the impeller chamber through the air duct, air regulating valve and hollow main shaft, and then enters the space between the impeller blades through the holes around the distributor. After the slurry and air are fully mixed in the impeller blade body, they are discharged from the periphery of the upper half of the impeller. The discharged slurry flow is directed obliquely upward, stabilized and oriented by the stator installed obliquely above the periphery of the impeller, and then enters the entire tank. The mineralized bubbles rise to the surface of the tank to form froth, which flows to the froth launder through the scraper or by gravity, and the slurry returns to the impeller area for recirculation.
III.Structure composition
It mainly consists of impeller, stator, hollow main shaft, bearing body, air regulating valve, tank body and froth scraping mechanism.
IV.Performance characteristics
(1) Large aeration volume, uniform air dispersion and low energy consumption;
(2) Significant energy saving, power consumption reduced by 30%–50% compared with conventional flotation machines;
(3) Simple structure, low wear and easy operation;
(4) Excellent slurry circulation performance and low reagent consumption;
(5) Suction tanks can be arranged on the same horizontal level to form an independent flotation circuit without froth pumps;
(6) Smooth startup without draining slurry after shutdown;
(7) Equipped with electric (manual) slurry level control system.
