Details Introduction

I.Scope of application

It is widely applicable to the separation of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic minerals, and suitable for roughing and scavenging operations in large and medium-sized mineral processing plants.

It can form a combined flotation unit with SF series flotation cells: the SF cell serves as the suction cell, while the JJF cell acts as the direct-flow cell.

II.Working Principle

The JJF series flotation cell is a mechanically agitated flotation machine. During operation, the rotation of the impeller generates a vortex in the surrounding slurry. The gas-liquid interface of this vortex extends upward to the inner wall of the vertical cylinder, and downward through the impeller central area into the draft tube, forming a negative pressure zone at the vortex center. The magnitude of the negative pressure mainly depends on the impeller rotation speed and submergence depth. Since the vertical cylinder is connected to the ambient atmosphere, the negative pressure at the vortex center draws air into the vertical cylinder and the impeller center.
Meanwhile, the slurry enters the space between the impeller and blades upward through the draft tube from below the false bottom, and mixes with the air sucked into the vortex center in the middle of the impeller. When the slurry passes through the openings on the stator, the tangential momentum is converted to radial momentum, and a local turbulent flow field is generated, which facilitates the mixing of air and slurry and the refinement of air bubbles. The air-slurry mixture enters the main slurry in the tank body after leaving the stator, and the flotation separation process is completed in the flotation zone. The mineralized bubbles rise to the froth zone, and the remaining slurry returns to the tank body for recirculation.

III.Structure composition

It mainly consists of tank body, false bottom, froth scraping device, driving device, main shaft, bearing housing, impeller, stator, draft tube, vertical cylinder and dispersion hood.

IV.Performance characteristics

1.Shallow tank type, stator height lower than impeller, large slurry circulation volume and low energy consumption;

2.The stator is a cylinder with elliptical holes, which is conducive to the dispersion and mixing of slurry and air;

3.Equipped with an umbrella-shaped hole dispersion hood to stabilize the slurry surface;

4.Wide applicable particle size range and high mineral processing recovery rate;

5.Mechanical agitation and self-aspirating air, but cannot self-prime slurry, requiring stepped configuration between operations (with a head difference of 300-400mm).
